Back in 2012 I had come to a cross roads in my life. I had been an Events Manger since leaving University and had had several career breaks in this time, to go travelling and see the world. I felt really blessed to have had the experiences I did while travelling some amazing countries, and to have experienced ultimate freedom. I’m incredibly ambitious though and always coming back to the UK to further my career. However, when returning in 2012 from spending several months travelling around India, I found myself back in a hectic cycle of work and responsibilities, and I really started questioning what life was all about.
Do you ever feel like you haven’t got enough time to do the things which light you up? Do you feel your loves and passions and hobbies come second to what needs to be done? Are you looking for a different way? I was. I was questioning how hard I was working for other people and concerned at how stressed I was working long hours. Wasn’t there more to life?
I thought about starting my own business but what would I do and would I actually end up working more hours and having more stress? A friend of mine who lives in Australia, randomly called me in the summer of 2012 and told me she had started an online business and she thought this would be something I’d be really interested in. She went on to tell me in detail about the concept of online health and wellness, and the residual income attached to the company of Arbonne. Residual income? Why hadn’t I heard of this before! I was excited, the thought of being able to work a business online, from anywhere, to choose when I worked and who I worked with, to own my own business but not be on my own, and create a recurring residual income, I was all ears! However, I was also nervous. I knew nothing about the health and wellness industry, I didn’t want to be a pushy saes person, and I was actually concerned what people thought.
I went along to an Arbonne business introduction talk in central London. There were about 200 people in the room. The calibre of people, doctors, lawyers, actors, accountants, yoga teachers, property investors and people from many different backgrounds, who also have an Arbonne business on the side, blew me away. Why were these successful people creating an online business with Arbonne? The answer I heard, because they are smart. I soon learned that this business is life changing and I fell in love with the concept and the company.
I started my business that night. I was coachable and learned step by step from my friend with meetings over Skype. I plugged in the community of incredible consultants in the UK, and my vision and belief in myself grew massively. I feel in love with the products, I had always suffered from blemishes and nothing seemed to work long term. But using Arbonne products I had incredibly results and speak with huge integrity about the products because it’s the only personal care brand I now use. The Arbonne ethos is plant based, vegan certified, toxin free, gluten free. People absolutely look for these things in their products today.
So where am I now nearly 5 years on? I was able to leave my corporate job 1 and a half years ago. I work my business still part time in the nooks and crannies of my life. I have time freedom and I am in training to be a Yoga Teacher, my absolute true passion. Life now hugely excites me. I feel blessed to be part of something so positive and so uplifting. I share with others products which I use, and share the business which I do.That’s the simplicity of it.
People wonder my Arbonne consultants are so excited about this business. That’s comes down to what this gives people. Residual income creates time freedom. That is what we get excited about! What would you do if you had more time? What passions would you pursue? Who would you spend more time with? Who would you help if you had a significant residual income coming in each month? Is it time for a change? Arbonne is a vehicle for change. For creating a life by design. For living big and living bold. The community of women is so empowering and uplifting. We lock arm in arm and we build this together.
